Business is booming as two authors—an Olympic cyclist and a famous filmmaker —come to town for a film festival and schedule signings at Rarity’s bookshop. Luckily, her former employee Darby is back from Scotland and ready to help out. The vivacious young staffer also catches the eyes of both authors. The filmmaker doesn't know the meaning of the word no, so Rarity reassigns someone else to deal with the handsy author. But when Rarity goes to find the author for a final Q/A about writing the tell-all on his cult classic movie Killer Spiders, she finds him dead—and the killer almost certainly has two legs, not eight . . .
