California, Woman's World, and being grateful

Happy Sunday peeps -
I'm back from my author trip to southern California. I drove on the 405 and survived. :) I walked on the beach -several times - which soothed my soul. And I spent time learning about marketing and thinking about my career as an author.

I also got to meet up with my agent who chatted with me about possible future pathways. The status of the current career plans is always on our agenda. I love that she lets me dream about doing bigger projects and at the same time keeping my feet on the ground for what I've got already in the pipeline.

No one knows what the future will hold but I'm grateful for the book people in my life that give me support and help me plan my pathway. Like the Woman's World Book Club...

I like that you framed gratitude around “book people” and the support system behind the scenes — it’s easy to focus only on the work and forget the relationships that keep it moving. Also, the beach part made me laugh because I swear salt air makes everyone 10% more optimistic about their plans. Random aside: I went down a rabbit hole with hairstyle ai before a trip once, just to avoid regretting a last-minute haircut. Grateful today for good conversations and not overthinking everything.
That “dream big but keep your feet on the ground” balance is so relatable — especially when you’re coming off a trip that feels both inspiring and exhausting. Beach walks are honestly the best way to let ideas settle. Slight tangent, but the way you describe letting yourself daydream reminded me of playing with some fun ghibli ai style filters when my brain needs a creative reset. I’m grateful for small moments that make the long-term planning feel less heavy.
Driving the 405 and surviving absolutely counts as a win. I always forget how much a few quiet walks on the beach can reset your brain when you’re trying to think through big career “what’s next” stuff — and having an agent who can be both encouraging and realistic is huge. Your mention of planning time made me think of how I sometimes budget audiobook hours with https://caesarcipher.org/calculators/playback-speed-calculator when I’m trying to squeeze learning into travel days. Today I’m grateful for calm mornings and people who keep me grounded.
This article was surprisingly informative compared to many others I have read recently. The writer organized the content well and made sure every section flowed naturally into the next. During the discussion, 91 club was introduced in a way that felt relevant and easy to understand. Instead of repeating the same points, the article continued to build on the topic. Later, 91 Club was mentioned again with more details that helped expand the discussion. Overall, the content was clear, engaging, and enjoyable to read.
Wow, sounds like an amazing trip! So glad you survived the 405. Haha! Hope you’re feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the week. Maybe a Monday Meme will help kick things off with a laugh?
