January blues

I'm sick. My dog's sick. And our temps are supposed to be single digits later this week. Sounds like a good day to make soup. Nothing heavy, just a lovely broth with something filling. Maybe I'll find that chicken tortellini soup recipe I was considering making. What's your favorite 'I'm sick food?

Cruise musing

Okay, so after I freaked out for months about this cruise stuff, I had a great time. Not enough sunning, swimming, or reading, but a lot of fun. One thing I was disappointed in was the food. Okay, in the dining room, but not amazing. However, I found a place where I could get vanilla soft serve at any time, so it made me happy. Haiti was beautiful, especially the trip to the private beach. Found some amazing shells. Swam in the Caribbean Sea. Visited a Haitian village for tourists. Loved looking out the window that morning and seeing mountains. Jamaica was pretty. I think if I go back, I'm booking a resort to be able to enjoy the ocean and relax. New Year's Resolutions

I did a week's worth of resolution planning on my Facebook page LynnCahoonAuthor this year. But you know me, I love my planning posts. I'm a little behind on my goals as we lost a family member last week. He was attacked in his own yard and after a week of trying, we realized he wasn't strong enough to fight back. #HomerLove #wreaked. But I'm still trying to hit my goals. First up? Finish Cat Latimer #6 and get it off my computer screen and on to my editors. That's always such a good feeling. I came into this book really, really late, and life kept putting up roadblocks to get it done.
