Snow Day...Again
Don't get me wrong. I like snow. It's pretty. The sun dances over the top making it sparkle. It's fun to cross country ski in. But seriously, I'm done. So this winter has confirmed the fact that moving to a mountain cabin in the woods where it snows all winter is not the perfect retirement plan for me. Did you see the Shining? Snow fever. At least that's the explanation if you don't believe in ghosts and evil. We're having snow today. Bitter cold for two days. Then it drops b

Accountability
I realized I posted my January plans, but never really followed up. Even with the unusual circumstances (#losingbothourboys, #Homerlove, #Demonlove) I got most of the stuff on my list done. But there's one item that was on January's list and February's list, and is looking like it might stay on March's list if I don't do something about it today. Edits for the Bull Rider's Brother (Lynn Collins). It's a secret baby/cowboy/reunion story and I love it. But I haven't been puttin

February musings
I've started writing the next book in the Farm to Fork series. I love visiting home with Angie and Felicia. With the carnival and the state fair going on, you know there's going to be excitement. But when you mix in a Top Chef style restaurant wars competition, the kitchens are hotter than the late August Idaho summer sun. I'm working with my agent on a couple of changes in my writing career. Hold on for more information, I'll share as soon as the ink's dry. But just between

Corned Beef and Fun...
It's been a busy release week here. Corned Beef and Casualties came out of the gate hard and fast. If you haven't picked up your copy, get it now, before you plan your St. Patrick's Day celebration. I had dinner with a good friend (and author) on Monday. We caught up, talked marketing and plotting, and planned our next month. Then on Thursday, I met up with Laura Benedict for her release visit to Left Bank Books here in St. Louis. We met for dinner first. Dressel's fish and c

February wishes
January wasn't a great month here at Casa Cahoon. We lost both our boys and we're still grieving. February is starting out warm and lovely, maybe to make up for the Polar Vortex last week. So to celebrate, Corned Beef and Casualties is releasing tomorrow. Filled with green and sunshine and happiness, it's the perfect bite of South Cove to get you out of your winter doldrums. And hopefully, me as well. :) Corned Beef and Casualties Releasing February 5th, 2019 South Cove, Cal

New Year's Resolutions
I did a week's worth of resolution planning on my Facebook page LynnCahoonAuthor this year. But you know me, I love my planning posts. I'm a little behind on my goals as we lost a family member last week. He was attacked in his own yard and after a week of trying, we realized he wasn't strong enough to fight back. #HomerLove #wreaked. But I'm still trying to hit my goals. First up? Finish Cat Latimer #6 and get it off my computer screen and on to my editors. That's always suc

Season's greetings...
So much going on this week. But first, I wanted to wish you a very, merry holiday season. I love this time of year when I can reflect back on 2018 and forward to 2019. It's like we all take a pause, a breath between the two years. Grateful for the year behind and hopeful for the year ahead, I'm excited that you're part of my life. Kensington is giving away 100 review copies for One Potato, Two Potato, Dead, book 3 of the Farm to Fork series. As of today, we're at 362 entries.

Disappearing December
Is it just me or does it feel like this year has rushed by...I'm taking a long winter break from the day job starting next Friday and I've got so much to do before I can even start. But first, what have I done this year? I released three full size cozy mysteries along with three Tourist Trap novellas. Two of those novella's (A Deadly Brew and Santa Puppy, hit the USA Today list on release week.) I've written the other three novellas, a new Farm to Fork Mystery, a Tourist Trap

Cat Latimer returns in Slay in Character
It's here, it's here!! Slay in Character arrived yesterday at all online and bookstore venues. If you're near a local bookstore, I'd love to see a picture of Slay in the wild. Shoot me a snapshot. Slay was fun to write since the retreat group hits a historic Old West town for their pre-writing adventure. And of course, the shootout in the streets isn't the only death in the story. I hope you enjoy and please leave a review. Staying in character can be murder when Cat Latimer

A Deadly Brew is today's Kindle Daily Deal
Pretty cool, huh? (And I wanted to remind you that A Deadly Brew hit the USA Today bestseller list last month...) So if you haven't gotten the halloween novella, there's no excuse now. It's only .99 cents. And if you like your stories in audio form, A Deadly Brew is available at your local digital seller. But that version isn't .99cents. Have a great week.
